Our guest cottage is Centrally located on the Cabot Trail, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia on 70 acres of wood land.

The two-storey attached house-keeping cottage has
- a private entrance w/ a screened-in porch,
- a full kitchen,
- 3 piece bathroom with shower - living room/dining room with a propane fire place and a - sofa bed
- Upstairs is a roomy Master Bedroom with a Queen size bed.

From the upper level you get a view of the gardens and woods where moose, deer, fox and other wildlife, including nesting robins can be seen. Downstairs next to the dining table we have an active hummingbird feeder.

Our land rises to approximately 800 feet/250 metre. The property is adjacent to a large Provincial Protected Wilderness Area and can be accessed by hiking or back country skiing.

A 10 minute walk or 3-minute drive will take you to a cobble beach, ideal for bird watching, beach combing and wave relaxation.

Our community boasts a wide variety of hiking & walking trails.

We also have nearby country roads ideal for stress free biking and comfortable walking with river and ocean views.

Five minutes south of here you can drive to the start of the Red Island Trail for 90 minutes of moderate to medium hiking along a river, ocean and lake.

High energy, more adventurous hikes can be found out your back door or you can take a 15 minute drive to the start of the North River Falls walk. This 6 hour hike leads to Nova Scotia’s largest waterfall.

The Cape Breton Highlands National Park with it’s many trails is 45 minutes away.

You can swim in two nearby rivers, Indian Brook River and Barachois River and ocean swimming is found 7 minutes north of here at Little River Beach.

One of the mainstay of our community is the lobster fishery and the season is from mid-May to mid-July.

Our community boasts a large number of award winning artisan whose shops feature work in leather, pewter, chocolate, photography, glass art, pottery, iron sculpting, fibre work and fashion design.

We are 1.5 hours from Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Park.
